In the late ’60s, Felix Sobolev created a documentary that would become one of the milestones of ‘Kyiv school of scientific film’. Seven Steps Beyond the Horizon departs from the assumption that in the age of information explosion, human mind needs to take advantage of its capabilities that are still undiscovered (or considered to be supernatural). The film represents a wide range of scientific experiments by Soviet scientists that deal with telepathy, psychotherapy and hypnosis in order to accelerate the cognitive functions of the human brain.

CURATED BY OLEKSIY RADYNSKI, RUSLANA KOZIIENKO & SERHIY KLYMKO

“Kinotron is a new form of film production.
The analogy emerges immediately: cyclotron, synchrophasotron, etc.
It’s all about the highest velocities and giant energies.”
